I've always had in = mind that Yello isn't the kind of music women like (exept for The Rythm = Divine, Drive Driven and similar songs). </snip> Well, for my $0.02, I discovered Yello around 1990, and the first audio tape I bought by them was "80-85 New Mix in one Go". My sisters (ages 11 and 18) overheard me playing the tape, over and over. At the time, my sisters (ages 11 and 18) really enjoyed them. To this day, they still sing some of the songs outloud, although it's probably been over a decade since they've heard the tracks. I remember "Pinball Cha Cha" being a particularly popular hit with them too. :) Cheers, Rob

I thought of rating the different Yello CDs at my Yello page (www.seste.net/warlock/yello.htm) But it's better to have many peoples' opinions, so I thought that you maybe wanted to rate the Yello CDs (from 1-10) too. What Yello is for me

I shall answer your question, Adelka. I feel about Yello very much the same way as you do (at least I think so). I listen to Yello when I eat breakfast, I listen to them when I use the computer and in every other occations when music doesn't bother me, I listen to Yello. Although I do not think of Yello as a religion, but it is a world, yes! And each of their albums are some small worlds too. Today I suddenly felt how One Second is so special and good (I find it very difficult to describe). Yello surrounds me. I think I will always be a Yello fan. I suppose you have all heard the live version of Resistor that Julian posted a week ago? If Yello had concentrated on that type of music, they would have got much more fans. But Yello can't change to what people want them to be. I'm glad that Yello has the music they got and I love their music. I don't care if A LOT of other people like them (although I'm very glad I found this list, indeed!). Chris The jokes that some of you have are very funny! Why people does not know Yello

Hello everyone! Well people have heard Yello, somewhere and they maybe thought it was good, but they didn't think "This band must I get more of!". . But people get/hear Yello by coincindences (or what I shall call it). Their music videos doesn't play on MTV any longer. And the main reason to that very few listen to Yello, is that you have to get used to their music! The first thing you hear with Yello is the wierdness, but when you have heard it a few times, you realize how great it is! A friend of mine has got Flag, Baby, Zebra and Essental and he likes Yello, a bit, but he likes only the one that you love the first time you hear it (like On The Run, Oh Yeah, Jungle Bill, The Race and Drive Driven). It was the same with me. The first song of Yello that I heard was when my father (he likes Yello) had got Essential and listened to The Race (The Race is very easy to like). I think that what Yello need to do with their music, is to include some of the newer techno elements in their songs, as well as they have their heavyness, superb mixing and great vocals. Motion Picture was too experimental. This is my opinion of why Yello isn't so popular. Yello is the best band that I know. I listen to Yello every day. Yello's songs goes in my head quite often. Dieter and Boris

Hello everyone! I've been away the two last days, but I'm back now. I was just wondering if someone sees Dieter or Boris as a (I don't know what it is in English really, but the dictionary said modell or pattern, a person you look up to)? I don't know them personally (and I doubt that some of you do), so I can't say, but if I would start to make music (which is also something I doubt :-)), Boris' music would have inspired me a lot (although I wouldn't copy it OH NO). I've heard new song with Dieter Meier on vocals. I don't know who it is, it has repeating lyrics (something like "don't turn your back" or something...). It's kinda nice deep house.
