Error Trying to change Switch Type in TCM

Hi, I am using Total Control Manager Windows Version 8.2.6 When every I try to change the Switch type on a HiperDSP card using TCM Windows, I get a Generic Error concerning the Switch Type OID. Does anyone know a work around for this. i use freeradius with a new (!) tc but when i assign Framed-IP-Address = 195.167.230.23 without + hiper say to me that this adress overlap! LOL... that's funny... Honestly, I agree with your points on Shannan. I've bought more hardware from him than most of you might imagine, and he's been great to work with. It doesn't take much effort to find a shmuck when you do anything on the Internet, but pretty much everyone on this list has been great to work with, whether buying something from them, selling something to them, or just getting help with a problem. Hey there folks, Well, it's been solved here before, but since I wasted a day of my time (& Shannan's @ Southwest Data Tech's too), thought I might just post it for ya'll to put in that 3Com headache folder you have like I do. "New" (to me...) HiperARC cards, console is fine, but only through the initial post & gets only to the 2nd line, which is Kernal loading ......... OK ...then sits and does nothing. NMC: Save chassis to nvram

How many cards can NMC (nmc_clk, 16mb dram, 8 mb nvram, soft v7.1.8, 486 proc.) manage (save configuration/traps etc.)? What can be reason for NMC not to respond to Save Chassis to NVRAM?

This is far from the "expert" answer - just some observations/suggestions: When you say that you can't get there either - is then only when you dial up or even when you are plugged in directly via ethernet cable? My first thought would be a problem with your connection upstream from your rack. If you can get to sites on your local network but not on the internet, sounds like problem starts at the gateway to the internet. You can prove this or rule it out by plugging into your network directly and see if the problem is still there or only affecting the dialup. Second - if it's only dialup, reboot the ARC. if the problem goes away, there's the problem - upgrade the firmware on the ARC. Third - again, if it's only the dialup, upgrade firmware on the DSP's - I've said it before: 3.5.12 is the work of the devil (yes, the devil works for 3Com :-) Fourth - make sure your Radius server isn't sending a setting for MTU (Framed-MTU, I think) with the access-accept. If it is, either get rid of it, or make sure it's set to 1500.
