I want to "authenticate" my users even if they don't enter valid username and password (authenticate by dialed number). Users connect only if they enter something in username field. How is it possible to connect them without entering username and password (I mean empty username and password field in their dial-up networking connections)? Does set modem_group all user_name some-username password some-password help?

I got that once after cancelling a Hiper ARC SDL in progress. Only fix was to pull the NMC and then plug it back in. Even a reboot from the CLI didn't fix it. Had to be powered down. HiperARC unable to see DSPs

After powering off and then on chassis HiperARC was unable to see DSP cards: when I wrote LIST CHASSIS every slot was --EMPTY-- (except HiperARC card) but cards was loaded. Then I repowered chassis again and everything was ok. Why did that things happen?

Brent, You have to upgrade to TCS 4.5 or 4.7 to do V.92. Two things: 1) You need BOTH of your ARC's at 128 meg dram / 16 megs of flash. 2) Be aware: a) TCS4.3 or lower: TCM and HARM work, but CEM does not b) TCS4.5: TCM and CEM work, HARM does not c) TCS4.7: CEM only (CEM must be purchased So, first replace the ARC with 64 megs of RAm and 8 meg of flash. Then plan on what management platform you intend to use. Then perform the SW upgrades (SW requirea a contract to access). And whatever you do, don't "downgrade" DSPs once upgraded past TCS4.3. If not done properly, you will make doorstops out of the DSP's. Lastly, do yourself a favor, and buy a dial-in number for one of your spans other than your main dial-in to the hunt. THAT is the card you should enable V.92 on. That way if a customer has problems, just dial the other V.90 number. Good Luck. Question about traps

I have written a script that collects traps sent by NMC. I enabled "Incoming Connection Terminated" trap on this chassis. When I receive that trap most of variables defined in MIB ar equal to 0 (like mdmCsDisconnectReason, mdmCsInitialTxLinkRate, mdmCsInitialRxLinkRate, mdmCsModulationType etc.). How can I enable sending this information from NMC? I have NMC_CLK with software version 6.1.7 and 7.1.8. HiperDSP spans with E1/R2 v3.1.7.

For the 130A DC power sets. Whats the minimum LOAD-electrical current to start and run the TC1000? Whats the LOAD during running? Please forgive me if my terms are wrong. Basically they dont want to blow it up. tc multiple filter error

Hello all: i've created a filter emailonly.in in TC which is assigned through radius using Filter-Id reply item. The filter works as it is supposed to, but when i add another Filter-Id item in radius and assign another filter that doesn't exist in TC the user gets disconnected after authentication. What are you getting for Lucent's? I was using the iblittz, but I started getting a whole ton of them that everytime the customer rebooted the puter, the first time they tried to connect, it wouldn't even try to dial and instead reported a busy signal. Shortly thereafter, the supplier I was using dropped them entirely. Lately, I have been using an AOpen Conexant that's been working really well. Especially in one situation - another customer with shaky phone lines. The lucent would connect at 44000, the error count would run continuously, and no data through.
