Thank you for the good news. Lets hope it is either a standard CD or a DVD, not those explicitly broken non-standard CD formats which does not work in computer CD devices. I do not know if Yello can decide it, hope so, but be warned: as reported in Usenet, those non-standard CDs will install programs to your computer without asking your permission -- and after installation, as it is reported, you may not copy *any* CD to computer anymore. In my opinion that is all illegal. One can sell non-standard CDs yes, but intruding to customer's computer is a big no. Did all of you downloaded the loop samples from "http://www.mountedbythegods.com/"? They are most probably made by Boris but please verify yourself. Well, there are now three sample and loop collections available; other two are: -How How CD single -Yello Soundstation at www.yello.ch Has anyone the Mounted by the Gods soundtrack? Will the Yello/Boris songs in the movie be as well in the upcoming album? In any case those samples indicate that something wild could be coming. Best regards, Juhana

Hi, Alright. I haven't got a clue how to get FTP servers running, but on the net I found a program that stated it could be done in seconds. Well... For testing purpose: ftp://195.240.126.124 username: yello password: rules - It seems users can drop files into the browser window and it'll upload... Interesting. So if anyone is in for a test go ahead. - Rene

Like a flower...

Over a longer period of time (years) my mind collapsed into a void. And today I experience something that can be described as a flower that opens at early sunlight. I recieved an issue of Interface. A dutch magazine about synths and related stuff. And while I quickly ran through the pages looking for something interesting to read, I started remembering an occurance in my life. Nearly five years ago I met a guy I had some software related bussiness with. As we started to talk more casual we found a mutual interest in synthesized music. The Hammer hit me, and knocked me off my feet!!!! This guy had been a reporter for the magazine INTERFACE. And he did an interview with YELLO during the period when STELLA was taking shape. I had to sit down, and couldn't believe what he was saying. There I was, in the lounge of the Company, talking to a guy who had used that same voice while talking to my Gods... He then got his phone and called INTERFACE to check if there were any copies left of that certain Issue. Sadly he informed there were none left. Bugger!!! But still. I found it to be a very suprising moment in my life. - Unfortuantly I lost track of this guy, and his name. All due to the maddness I lived through for years on end. But just in case this man is also a silent member of this list here are some keywords: Kral, Veendam, Media Control, Guide Groep, ... Rene - still working on a mental rebirth.

Hi all, I've just been busy again with all the Yello video's I captured last year. I've made a terrible mistake. The video quality is superb, but dumb ass me, converted the audio segment to 128k mp3. This should have been 160 or even higher. The los is a bit too much. Ah.. sigh.. But what I wanted to ask: The girl, that features in several clips (Oh Yeah, Jungle Bill). Is this Dieters daughter? A Second question... Did Billy Mackenzy pass away, just like Ernst Gamper? Or am I just fooled by stupid html code on the net? And third: Oliver/Ollie, are you still out there? We talked at the end of last year about the recording of Yello in Havana. We would get in contact again about this. Although it never left my mind I didn't get back to it, because I'm still a victem of broken hardware. The superb Philips Pro Video deck has died, and I'm waiting for a replacement or enough money to get it repaired. A very old videocasette jammed the engines and mechanism... &**(*&%$##$$%%%^^.... Ah sigh. Rene

Yello's Christmas Carols

Coincidentally with Rene's question about the other Yello christmas carol, I was listening to Jingle Bells. The lyrics and sound are pure Yello/Dieter, but the song is unmistakeably Jingle Bells. Nice work. Does anyone know how many other christmas songs Yello wrote and what album, if any, they are on? It doesn't seem to exist in a music store near me. "These early years, they go too fast. But sometimes they always last"
