Satellite

I was watching a typical 3rd or 4th magnitude satellite in a polar orbit pass through Perseus this morning at 5:01 am, when it briefly flared to about first magnitude, then faded again. Not nearly as bright as the Iridium flares I've seen. Anybody care to look it up? Traveling south to north.

Is the "terrible" movie the one called John Carter on Mars? I enjoyed it. Ok ok that should be craters not carters. My spell checker did not catch that. Another advantage of this mission is that a radio radio telescope could be set up free from the radio interference from earth. Other telescopes could be deployed that can study the heavens from earth's atmosphere. I agree with what was said about a manned mars mission.
