Hello, We currently run TC Hiper cards and use 3Com Security/Accounting Server 6.0.8 for radius. I was wondering if the gurus of this list of have tried the following before. I am trying to make it so if a user is flagged somehow in the database he will only be able to go to one website. I am wanting to make it so customers who have been shut off for non payment, can get redirected to a website to make the payment after hours and any time our support office is close. Also, would like to make it so if they are not in our radius DB at all, they get redirected to a place to sign up for our service live. If anyone has any information on this, please let me know. When I did this - I actually didn't let the customer dial up. I wrote a little VB application that first collected their information, then made the connection, submitted the info (creating their account), then hung up, and created the dialup connection on their computer using their new username and password. This way, they didn't have to be smart enough to go to any particular web site. I'm not sure how to force them to go to a certain web page. If you can make them go through some sort of proxy and make that proxy server disregard the requested page and take them to yours, or have the proxy redirect them, whatever. Unless the user knows to go to your payment/signup web page address, they aren't going to see anything. What I think is needed is a tunnel set up by on the connection -- by the TC -- that forces all traffic through a specific router or server. That router or server can then intercept all port 80 traffic and respond to it with the payment/signup page in question. I know it can be done, but I, too, don't know how to do it and have not yet devoted the time I need to figuring out how to do it. Can't give you step by step, I'd have to go searching for the how-to because I haven't done anything like this in a long time - but here's the way I'd do it: You can set up a filter on the ARC that will only allow access to a single address (the address of your payment site). Then you have to have radius assign that filter to the users you want. For signup, I set up a username "signup" with a blank password, didn't even set this up on radius, just on the Hiper ARC itself. Someone dialing in with that account, same thing, only allowed to go to a certain site, and had a session limit of like 5 minutes. Also went a step farther - had the second ethernet port on the ARC plugged into my private internal network, and assigned the signup user an address from a local, private IP pool, so the got an address like 90.0.0.x or something were completely unable to route to the internet when connected as that user. What does command _set memory threshold critical/high/low do? For what is this threshold used? P.S. (for them who dont know): to show hidden commands type "_reveal commands" and then type "?".

Help finding nmc555.zip

I am in a dire situation, my laptop was stolen and lost all my CDs for my USR Total Controls. I was able to obtain the TCM and Hyper Access 1.18 with some help, however the situation im in now leaves me needing the 5.5.5 4MB firmware for my 486 NMC cards. I lost one and I have 2 spares, I was upgrading one tonight from 5.5.3 so it matches the one in the other chassis, the TCM blanked the flash, then started loading the 5.5.5 copy I had left (from floppy), it gave me an error and wants me to load a file before powering off/on the chassis. I cant find any information on an emergency recovery for a NMC, but im sure something exists to fix them if it powers off, I wont turn it off in hopes someone can send me the nmc555.zip without paying $980 for a contract I dont need. If anyone also has infomation on which document lets me do an emergency recovery so I dont have to leave this noisy sucker powers on my desk (with no battery) please send it over. Patrick, The NAKs actually have 116 modem interfaces and from what I know they support E1/T1/PRI/SS7 configurations. Our NICs specifically designate T1 and have 4 connectors, so I am unsure if an E1 NIC must be used to operate in that configuration. Even so, if a multispan cardset goes for $1000 and allows for greater density and lower power consumption it may be worth it. I am in a dire situation, I have 3 total control units TC1000s, my laptop was stolen, in the bag stupidly were my TCM and HiPer Access disks, not to mention DSP, NMC and NAC firmware burned CDs. My support with Commworks expired 3 months ago and they wont even give me the last version I was paying for and now I have no way to manage my TC1000s easily, command line is a total pain. I am hoping someone will be help me out on any of this mission software, but I wont hold my breath. Hello everyone: I'm experiencing some problems with a perl script for listing online users via snmp. Using and old SW loaded in a hiper ARC the script ask for the next OIDs: .1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.10.1.1.9 for the IP addresses. .1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.10.1.1.18 for the usernames. and both listings has the same amount of records (also the same amount of records shown by "list connections" via CLI). My problem is when I ask with the same script another Hiper ARC with a newer SW loaded, the listings are very different (only the users list match the "list connections" list). The IP listing shows more than once IP adresses assigned to the dial-up users. What should be the problem? Thanks a lot in advance.
