I did /not/ modify Evil Edit at all. It's not part of my original track list, but I included it in the zip since I suggested as a replacement for WTIL:Power 7" My own edited/modified tracks are: Whitney 7" (as there isn't one), Mad Ru 7" (edited from the 12" for sound quality. very minor differences in effects during the last 30s when compared to the original edit), WTIL:Trancentral (added on the extended ending from the US 12" for personal taste), FTM (dubbed in the "a-ha-ha KLF!" over the break because I like that bit in the Different Project mixes) I will add this to the wiki page. -paul

A couple of oddities.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KLF-COMMUNICATIONS-DELUX-COLLECTION-LTD-EDITION-CD_W0… ...if this isn't a bootleg, the cheesy packaging suggests one of those repackaged 'very best of' collections you see in...various truckstops and motorway services around the world, of dubious legaility in some cases. Others in the collection perhaps include the Snap! Deluxe Collection, the Tammy Wynette Deluxe Collection and The Very Best of Matt Munro This is also surely halfway towards the effect we are looking for, kinda inspirational in fact! Sadly looking at the tracklist there are probably no CD exclusives and I am not willing to pay Â£35.00 to check each mix =( Any other info on this though? Sorry for the repetition here but as John and one or two others have pointed out, we are really losing the plot a little with the proposed 'Truckstop Jams' CD and interest has perhaps dropped off a little for this very reason A few weeks back someone (i'm sorry but I lost track of who) uploaded what was essentially a chonological collection of single edits in a zip file and many agreed that this or something close to it would make a superb collection, yet since then a few people have really got a bit carried away suggesting rather cheesy titles (whoever suggested 'Now That's What I Call Mu' over 'Now That's What I Call Mu(sic)' needs to look up the latin word 'sic' which forms part of the kinda double pun B&J coined in the first place) and their favourite tracks for inclusion, which are getting pretty obscure again (Razormaid mix? surely not...) Anyways i must admit i have been a little slow to look at the wiki and will try to add my two cents at the wknd, for what it's worth, but come on people let's get this back on track huh? Something else i was going to suggest was a 'further listening' link in the packaging of the CD which for those who's appetite has been whetted provides an uploaded zip of a second collection of rare mixes and obscurities...we can revert back to being fanboys when we choose the tracklist for that one, and we can still include artwork in jpg format or whatever, but the first CD needs to take precedence right now Anyways this is all for the wiki too...i still don't really know what a wiki is so it's gonna be an education Finally, unless i got my wires crossed, whoever uploaded that zipped compilation said they had made custom versions of the WTIL evil edit and Fuck the Millennium, but only the 'original' versions were present? I recall buying it the first day it was available in the US as an import. The only denial I am aware of by Bill was in the Omnibus doc where a fan asked if they were going to be making any new music. Bill said no, walked into the hotel room and asked Jimmy to pull out the DAT for their new track (ie: The Magnficent) -paul

Hi, Winston, Some people have mentioned this. All versions of the tracklist have the "radio edit" of the "Live at Trancentral" version - the 4 minute mix, rather than the 5'30 mix. All that's missing is the break, extended intro and outro, some swearing, and Doors and Apollo VIII samples. I think if you include one 12" mix, then you'd have to include them all, personally, but I understand why some might want it put it - since it includes extra, "famous" bits (Doors, MC5 etc) not included in the clean edit. I may have missed the finalization of this conversation but the 'the_klf_-_what_time_is_love__evil_edit_.flac' track everyone keeps referring to sounds like the single/radio release of "What Time Is Love" before Bill & Jimmy changed their minds and decided to it make it more 'accessible' (i.e. 90's rave-esque). I've got it somewhere on a white label single-sided 12" - IIRC the all-important A-side (the other side is completely blank) runout groove reads: DAMONT KLF004 -A1 I seem to remember there is something scratched out on the groove as well, possibly someone's initials.
