Hi John, Yes, I got a DVD recorder for Christmas and have been going through some old tapes. Unfortunately I missed the beginning... not quick enough on the old record button back then! I do have a few of their other performances from TOTP, and will upload them too when I get a chance.

The story of Monty Python is a particular "close shave". If the series had been in black and white, and not colour, then series one would have DEFINITELY been wiped by the BBC. The Pythons themselves, by late 1969, were planning to keep primitive video recordings of the episodes themselves - so at least they would have had something - when the BBC changed their minds. Series 2, 3 and 4 were never threatened with being wiped - however, one sketch was deleted from the BBC archive - something about dancing politicians; it WAS on Youtube, but I can't find it at the moment. My new tracklisting

We could have the best of both worlds if we removed the Disaster Fund Collection? I know a lot of people, including myself, like it, but it was never a single other than a b-side. Other tracks that fall into this "almost" category include "Build a Fire" (a US b-side, iirc), 3 AM Eternal (Break for Love) and "Me Ru Con" (a UK b-side) My new tracklist (using Paul's as a basis) still includes "Go To Sleep", which of course was never released at all - but it was the genesis of one of the KLF's finest singles, as well as one of the unique tracks of their great "lost album", so I think its worthy of inclusion on these merits (the same with "Madrugada Eterna", as it would have been the only single from "Chill Out" if it had got a full release). I've also included the radio edit of "No More Tears" released on Dance Pool - partly because its a radio edit, and worthy of inclusion, and also because it's a very, very rare version. I've been think we should start the collection off with a big "kick". So - part of "Church of the KLF" from JAMSCD6 (I've mislaid my mp3 from the US version, does it sound any cleaner?) should be at the very start, flowing into the scratch-and-rhyme fest of "All You Need is Love" (which I think should be included in its odd, 7" version mix from JAMS23s, which I'd forgotten about when I first mentioned the Possum CD). What I hope to do is up my mix somewhere as one continuous mp3 - no gaps between the tracks should create a great sound! Right so - cut off date for tracklist suggestions - Saturday 18th February? A majority decision stands (however we decide it, and all objections to be made before that date). That gives us four weeks to get the artwork ready, CD burned, and then we distribute ... on March 18th. I put this tracklisting forward as the FINAL DEFINITIVE one - and we have two weeks to decide otherwise. Sorry if this sounds bossy, but someone has to make a decision somewhere, and since it was my idea (oh, okay, and Banksy's) originally, I reckon the buck has to stop with me. It's not just the BBC. The Dutch broadcasting compagny NOS deleated several interviews taken with a former minister president. Bootlegs n stuff

The days of £920 for Pure Trance 3, though, are probably firmly in the past ... ............ Those wrer the days...........I even remember when that record was bought..I have a cdr from him of the actual record. Eternity Project One thats a top piece on CD never heard a proper cd of that i have a download c.d it but its not a high biterate.I dont often ask for stuff here on the list but if anyone can do a file share of the ETP CD either a Flac or 320 mp3 that would be nice. KLF 2000 vinyl bootlegs

I know a few people on here have been trying to collect the 2000 Dutch (?) vinyl bootlegs of JAMSLP1, JAMSLP3, JAMSLP5 and KLF8R. Well, KLF8R boot is on Ebay at the moment http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-KLF-REMIX-5-LAST-TRAIN-TO-TRANCENTRAL-12-BOOTLEG_…. It's not often the seller is genuine is saying it's a bootleg (despite the fact, I suspect, the 2000 boot appears on Ebay a lot less than the 1990 original 12"). And no, I don't know the seller, but I thought it was an interesting to spot. At one point I had all four of the boots - and it was one of the most difficult (and fun) parts of by kollecting days - getting all four boots together.

I think it's listed on klf.de, but I think there a difference in the type face of the "5" and the way the word "Trancentral" is hidden behind the number. It's also a bit darker pink, rather than the pale salmon of the original - and maybe even the text is italic (or not italic, depending on what the opposite on the original was). Possibly no barcode, either? Of the others, I think there's different typeface and a few typos on JAMSLP1, no central gatefold with its music press cuttings for JAMSLP3 (and the phrase "SHAG TIMES" is off to one side on the cover), and the sheep pictures of JAMSLP5 are printed "back to front" (the split for putting the record in is at the wrong side) and the image looks slightly dull and pixelised - the blues in the sky above the sheep have more of a purple hue, I remember, with bits of red coming through, like a badly printed colour blue picture in a tabloid. Anyway, goodnight! Oh, and the next couple of weeks I moving house, so may be off-line for a while (especially after this Friday).
