Some companies use coloured or rare vinyl as "pay offs" to pressing plant workers, too. I'm sure I read somewhere that some workers were given gold handshakes of the "Sex Pistols" on A&M (worth about £2,000 now, I think) - and the same goes for purple "Bohemian Rhapsody". In the 1990s, a lot of also-ran Britpop bands did colour vinyl too. Yes, there are usualy extra labels in case of problems. This is why you see ex pressing plant employess with about half a dozen "rare" items. Most of the time they have done them thereself and reep the benifits from collectors when they sell them off. Just take a look at Queen. It certainly sounds like some of Jimmy's "solo" work - "Space", his early Orb Stuff, and the odd "cast offs" from the Eternity project. PT 3 and 4 have sleeves identical in lay-out and design to PT 1 & 2, and their remixes (including both KLF5Rs) - but not to PT1 US and KLF8R (original). They certainly INTENDED to do "something called Love Trance" since they printed up labels and sleeves, so he's discredited (too strong a word but...) right there. Since it was never released (and yes, I would think many of the tracks are mostly Jimmy's doing) he probably doesn't recall. Besides, I think it's a pretty safe assumption that a fan knows more about a recording artists work than the recording artist. -paul

Hi Folks, Just a quick note to day thanks. After much looking I found the details for the KLFcentral ftp site And the one run by Rmstringer. Wow its like being given the keys to the sweet shop. I love the blacksmoke stuff, just feel slightly uneasy with all the 9/11 commentators. Whats everyones Opinion on it? I've tried e-mailing Rmstringer and Mark Weston, but I'm not getting any response. I've just got Soulseek Setup and would love to take up Mark's kind offer. Thanks to everyone involved in creating such a fantastic KLF resource. Is that Love Trance, THE Love trance I thought they didn't press any. WOW who has a copy. Cheers Ian

Hi, everyone, especially Tim (and thanks, once again, for the labels and sleeves!) I always wonder whatever happened to the labels for "Pure Trance 5" KLF8T. I'm sure the discog says there are at least two kinds - one of which says "E-Train" on them, and the other (light blue?) says "The White Room". Were there 2000 presses of each? Anyone have them. 8T labels seem rarer than 6T and 7T. Also, I can't help noticing that KLF8R labels are different to 4,5,6 & 7 T & R (where applicable). The spine writing is different, and the front seems to be rotated by 90 degrees. And of course, I mean the original and not the 2000 boot.
