I'll even share the chronology I've hammered out for the short stories. We're ignoring "Raker" here; it's a chapter in The Black Company. Bone Candy - between The Black Company and Shadows Linger. Tides Elba - between The Black Company and Shadows Linger. NOTE: Bone Candy and Tides Elba are set in the same town. Bone Candy references Whisper, but Tides Elba references the Limper just arriving and the Company having been established for awhile. So I think Bone Candy comes first. Bone Candy also references the Port of Shadow...I think we have parts of the planned but not released novels! Specifically...Port of Shadows. (Clever, aren't I?) Holy smokes, I just realized the Black Company wikipedia page has been updated. I thought it could have been Khusavir Pete in the beginning... but upon reflection, it couldn't have been either of them. Sindawe, Bucket, most of the Nyueng Bao and Company were killed or trapped under the plain. 2 horses survived. Murgen became the ghost. One-Eye and Goblin never made it to the plain, nor did Doj, Gota, Sleepy or Tobo (who wasn't old enough to walk at the time of the incident.) Not Wheezer. Not Red Rudy, Nor Candles...
