Now, on to the actual albums:
Gang of Four- "Entertainment" - Probably the most important post-punk record in both all-out freaking GREATNESS and influence, this hasn't been available in America forever, and the imported UK copies sound effin' horrible.
Andrew, This one was issued in the US combined with the "Yellow EP" by Infinite Zero/American reocrds in 1994. Although, with the kind of distribution this non-mainstream stuff gets, even by major labels (this is part of WEA) I'm not surprised if you were entirely unaware of it. This set of reissues also included Solid Gold/Another Day/Another Dollar, and Songs Of the Free. I'm not sure if there were others, but I have all 3 of these. Now please tell me where to find GO4's Live At the Palais on CD! Dale.
I'd thought that 'Hard' eventually made the transfer on Infinite Zero as well. Can anyone confirm or deny? Having been asleep at the wheel when these things were originally issued, I've had to drop surprisngly large sums to get 'Songs of the Free' and *especially* 'Solid Gold' on eBay. The latter has consistently commanded the highest prices, but I've never even seen a copy of 'Hard' up for bidding. I know it's the runt of the original litter, but the completion factor has kicked in for me now...
