I don't understand any of those Zappa over Beefheart issues. It's like apples and oranges. Sure they collaborated, but damn, Beefheart never sounded anything like Joe's Garage or the Yellow Shark. And Beefheart definitely has the art-rock thing cornered comparatively to Zappa. Lick my decals off baby! Certainly my favorite Capt' and the magic band album.
