Age? 37. Been a fan since One Second. Any Audiophile fans? I here that the new album is compressed and not as dynamic as Motion Picture. I still do not have the new one: lack of $35 US. _________________________________________________________________ There are now three new levels of MSN Hotmail Extra Storage! Yes a cheap audiophile here. the new album sounds very similar to me but it does have a brighter rougher quality to it. On Jan 14, 2004, at 1:25 PM, Christopher dowlen wrote:

36 years old, this year 37. I live in Finland, and I am been Yello fan sice 1982 when I first time hera Eternal Legs. Now I own huge collection of Yello stuff and Yello releated stuff also. Freak.. Oh Yeah, but I'm proud of it. ;-) -Makke- Vauxhall & Yello enthusiasm... www.makkesgarage.com
Age Survey! I'm 31 and unlike many, my first Yello song was The Race. I don't remember where I heard it exactly, but it was right after it came out, and I was captivated by the sheer emotion of it, and the length (13:22) I went out and got the Cassette single and to my delight it contained the Dance Mix of Oh Yeah, which upon hearing I associated with Ferris Bueller, my favourite movie at the time, and I wasn't aware previously who had done the track. Then I gambled end picked up The New Mix In One Go, and liked everything on there, and so on and so on, eventually I had the entire collection of albums and a fan was born! Random Tox
The Race, Apparently, The Race started out as a Boris composition for one of his friend's Magic acts that went to competition in Las Vegas (Nevada--why does everyone always add that part?) Later, Dieter added the lyrics et:voila ambrosia for the aural senses Laurens On Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at 02:56 PM, Ether wrote:

I am too cheap to be an audiophile... Although you would think since my major was Radio-TV-Film and I took the sound engineering courses, and also being a DrumNBass fan, I should have enough exposure to really good systems to find anything else unacceptable. But the older I get (38) the more I just like to have the house quiet...do more camping and reading too. I must have worn out my eardrums back when I used to go out dancing all the time. ;( P.s. to the Art of Noise fan, they are Da BOM. When I first heard them, they were God to me. Beat Box, and Legs I could listen to over and over and over and over ...... Now I gotta go dig out my CD! -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Christopher dowlen Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 12:26 PM To: yello@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Yello] Age? 37. Aahhhhh - I wanted Moments in Love to be my wedding song. Then I got pregnant (woooops)! So much for planning my whole life ahead of time... ;-) I saw Franky here in Austin - that was a fun show! And, I am the only person I have ever known with a Propaganda tape (which I love still) until now. Thanks folks. These have been some great threads. Remember that weekly TV show where Max Headroom was on it? Gosh - I remember that the show existed, but I can't remember anything else about it except that balding guy who was the model for Max. -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Arno Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 6:15 PM To: The moon: beautiful. Anyone else here a huge Dead Can Dance fan also? Or. I'm a HUGE New Beat fan 2! Julz
45 here, first heard Yello in 1980 when a friend played "Solid Pleasure" over his state-of-the-art hi-fi system. It blew me away and have been a fan ever since. IMHO, nothing they've done since has been quite as innovative, but nevertheless, they produce excellent music. For all you techno-geeks, Rupert Hine is well worth checking out. Not only is his a brilliant producer, but a great musician in his own right. His music is innovative and very well produced, he also worked under the pseudonym of Thinkman & Quntum Jump (Lone Ranger was actually a hit). Jabberwoc
