HellO Bugger! Bloody Mac Users ;-) And thus war has begun. Just kidding. I happen to be an IT guy myself and spend 15 hours a day in front of the bloody things ( not Mac) so you can understand that I don't have the same passion about talking computers in the Yello Forum. You may however continue to bore me with your idle Mac lectures as I will always feel like a laugh. I'm sure that our talented fellows would not think highly of a windows based PC (although I'll still fight for windows as someone has to) But perhaps they would use silicon Graphics System for they use quite a bit of video grunt. I myself have been using After Effects with Premiere to try and combine with my poor video skills and come up with something good. It hasn't happened yet. Oh well it's only been 7 years now, but that could be that I'm not using Mac ;o) Oh Yeah Yello-that's right. Hey I will neaten my play list up and send it. I would be interested to know what collectable items you guys own. Particularly signed items by the boys and other stuff not necessarily music. Like the promo scarfs, pens, flags, watch etc. I want to know who has the On Track Bonus CD. I still prefer to hunt vinyl. I guess wandering record shops as a poor DJ many years ago will always hold fond memories. Only now they are just memories as the record shops I remember don’t really exist anymore. I would love to see 'The Evenings Young' video again. Is it true that the Library of Congress in NY is collecting all Yello videos as works of contempory art? Apparently it started because of The Evenings Young-although this could just be because it was there first. I would love to get a hold of there Club Only Videos. I know in the late eighties/early nineties Nightclubs were often moving to Video play machines and no vinyl and cds only as supplements. I would receive many promos as videos. Never any Yello. where are we all from?

Hi group.....just a quick mail to ask where we are all from and how we became interested in the godfathers......I am from north east england 30 yrs old and became interested in yello back in 1988 (unknown to me before then) when I heard The Race on the radio...ever since I have collected everything that I could lay my hands on including a duplicate of "you know who" on 7".....mail me privately if anyone is interested in buying....don't want to put it onto ebay as I know here that we are all fans...never know with ebay... Another member answering this question :-) I'm Adelka (well it's my nickname which I like much more than my name), 25 years old female Russian, living in Tver (the city between Moscow and St. Petersburg). It was year 1994 when I first heard Yello. One of the Russian channels has aired The Race. I was hooked! Although it was the first time I saw them and heard this unusual music, I had a strange feeling that I have known Yello since I was born! However, I didn't even know the name of the duo till saw the cover of Baby on vinyl in a music store and recognized them immediately (hey, is it possible not to recognize Boris and Dieter??). Then I bought Baby and Zebra, recorded illegally on one tape (it was almost impossible to get the legal audio and video cassettes here at that time, all the music we bought on tapes was recorded this way. Many local companies in all cities were in this business, and they worked legally, since there was no proper law of copyright at that time). This music has crashed me, and I became a fan immediately. Then I ordered all other albums (these companies also recorded any music from CDs to tapes). To me Yello has never been favourite group. It's sort of the way of life. Along with unique music, Yello took greatest influence upon my world in many aspects! Since I became the Yello addict I began developing as a person -- to think about life and ask myself many questions about life, to read the books to find the answers, and so on. It's not easy to explain, I guess. I remember, there was a time when I could only listen to Yello lying on the sofa, with headphones on, and only The Music was inside my head. No other music has ever made me feel like that, it was, and still is, fantastic. And even though I don't listen to Yello very often now, I know that Yello is in my blood, it's the part of myself, something that will stay with me forever. And everytime I listen to Yello now, I have the same feeling of ectasy and excitement. By the way, I had been saving my scholarship for a year to buy the CD player to be able to listen to Yello. I can't say that I listen to something "besides Yello". My biggest interests in music are the songs from Soviet cartoons and films for children (60s -- 80s) and the Russian rock group, I don't even mention its name here, because nobody out of Russia knows it, I guess. I don't know anyone here in Tver who likes Yello. But it doesn't bother me now, since I can get everything I need in Internet. I had a hard time before 1997 (the univercity I studied at has opened free Internet class for its students in 1997), because I could get no news, no info, and almost nobody to share my thoughts and emotions about the Yello music with (I was in snail-mail touch with a few fans in Russia at that time). Jonas here....I´m 30 something ;-) and live i Sweden and discoverede Yello back in -83 when I heard the album You gotta say yes to another excess for the first time. Me and yello

My name is Oscar. I'm 23 years old and I live on the westcoast of Sweden where I'm a graduate student in astrophysics. I first became addicted to Yello the day that Essentiel was released. I loved every song. As of today I own almost all of their albums, where I like Stella and Flag the most! Is there anyone who knows where to get the soundtrack to the wonderful anime "Space Adventure Cobra"? As you might know, Yello have produced this and there are bunch of quite good tracks there thats not released elsewhere (called M-M Suspense, M-M Tension, M-M Edit and Dome). The Boys

What an excellent question....why are the boys not her on the list? Obviously it would be impossible as they are extremely busy but from time to time it would be, to quote a line from the one second album, nice to have the "occasional presence of Dieter Meier" and Boris....I suppose we can all hope that one day........maybe Jonas can contact the Yello office?
