Kris, I take it that your LEC is randomly sending you calls from any of the numbers you have riding on your T1. I had the same problem. Get on the console port of your T1. From there you can assign your phone numbers to answer on a single channel or a group of channels. I don't have all the details in front of me right now, but it is a 3 step process and very simple. Once it is complete you can highlight all your modems in Total Control Manager then -> Performance -> Session Monitor, which refreshes every minute by default. Local authentication would be individual users created on the ARC. Therefore not requiring authentication from outside RADIUS servers. These are accounts such as root or adm. Local users Authentication

While reading 3COM TC1000 documentation for HiPer ARC, I noticed two settings; (1) enable authentication remote & (2) enable authentication local. I believe that 'authentication remote' is to authenticate the user on a remote server, such as RADIUS. However, I do not know what the 'authenticate local' setting is? Can someone explain. Kirti

I need an automated way to see what numbers my users are connecting to at say 5 minute intervals. I have a TC1000 box that has about 15 different cities going to 5 PRI lines. We are having to do a capacity study and I need to know which cities are being dialed and whom is connected to those cities. This way I will know which cities we need to upgrade trunking capacity in? Todd: Let me clarify. I want to change the 'timeout' settings. Under TCM, I select (all) the HiPer DSP cards and the under 'Call Control Options' I change the 'Inactivity Time[min]S19] from 10 min to 6 min & issue the 'Set' & save the settings as: Action/commands: software-> save Template T1 to NVRAM Action/commands: software-> save Template T1 to NVRAM Action/commands: software-> software reset Can I do the above without disconnecting current users who are connected to 3COM?
