Is there any facility to Restrict telnet access on HiperARC only from few hosts?? Like router have ACLs.... , I know filters are there but dont know how to use it for telnet restriction on HiperARC. Thanks pankaj

Has anyone tried the 5.3.3 HiperARC software or the HiperDSP 3.5.12 that goes with it? My contract has expired and I am wondering if it is worth the $2600.00 to upgrade it. Connect Problem

Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help me with the following problem. We have a customer with a rockwell modem that is unable to connect with error 645. Periodic Authentication problem on the Hiper ARC

Hi there. I am experiencing a problem that I was wondering if any else has experienced. I am running a 3Com Chassis with Hiper ARC (code ver 5.3.2) with 7 Hiper DSP Cards (code ver 3.5.13). Every few days, I experience a problem when authenticating users on Radius. For some strange reason, some users get authenticated properly while some, do not get authenticated because their passwords are sent as some garbled characters. Now this goes on until a reboot is done on the Hiper ARCD card. After that, everything works fine. What could be causing this problem and what can I do to fix it? TCS software - help please!

Greetings, all! I just purchased a used Total Control chassis (got a great deal I think, $200) which includes dual power supplies, a dual T1 card, 12 quad digital cards, 2 quad ana/dig cards (I need to run analog until I can bring T1's in), and net management / Netserver cards. However... I can't do much with it without the management software as I understand it. I have the pinouts and will be making a serial cable so I can at least set up the IP address, but of course there is a bit more config I'd like to do to this thing. :) I'm not sure what 3com's licensing is like so my apologies if I'm asking something that would get anyone in trouble. But, does anyone possibly have an old copy of the software lying around I could get my hands on? I can't download it from them without a contract - which I'm not prepared to purchase (I'd like to build a small ISP with these modems, and am doing so with very limited funds at the moment), especially on hardware this old. The modems are 56k flashed as I understand it but probably not v.92 capable. If anyone can help me out here, I'd appreciate it. If not, for licensing reasons or whatever, I understand. Problems opening TCM with specific NMC/Chassis

We've got a chassis with 10 DSPs (2.1.9) and 2 HARCs (5.0.9) that I'm having trouble pulling up in the TCM. What is happening is that it bails out as soon as it gets to 'Retrieving NMC version'. I've reflashed the NMC. The NMC responds to normal SNMP queries (such as one would use with TCView). We did move around some cards in the chassis - but all DSPs ae the same configuration as they were before. I have rebooted the chassis numerous times after switching chassis awareness on and off (normally I run it off and set up the chassis slots statically on this particular chassis). Any suggestions? HiperDSP console password

Hi all, I have TC1000 with HiperDSPs, now I want to access dsps through console. But its password protected , casue when I tried to access console its giving me promt for password. And I dont know password. Whats are the possible solution to access or to disable password. Thanks pankaj
