10 Mbps half duplex

I would like to find a way to configure a port to 10 Mbps Full Duplex on hiperarc. I have a switch (Cisco Catalyst) that is capable of doing 10 Mbps half/full. It will be too costly to replace all my cards to support 10/100. When I set the switch port to 10 Mbps Full, the hiperarc default to 10 Mbps half because of autosensing logic. This create alignment errors... So far, I am using up to 7 DSP per 10 Mbps half duplex connection. I see up to 4% collision rate. I am trying to get a better "Internet experience" out of my testing. It will be "really" nice to have a manual speed & duplex setting. Because we use this interface like a "trunk", even at 100 Mbps autosensing I will prefer to see a manual setting. I spoke to CommWorks and they want my company to pay for it because I'm the only customer requesting it. In a nutshell, I would like to hear from you the following: - Is there a way to assign 10 Mbps full duplex if the switch is only 10 Mbps half/full? - If you are using a 10 Mbps half duplex, what is your maximum number of hiperDSP assigned to this conection? - Would you consider "important" to have a manual speed and duplex setting on hiperarc? Hi, CommWorks told us it was "technically" possible to have manual speed and duplex feature on the hiperarc. One price I heard is $60 K to it. I understand 10 Mbps Full may not make sense from a 10/100 infrastructure perpective but for us, it makes a lot of sense. Another potential problem is if the hiperarc can't support 10 Mbps Full even when it is manually set. Richard Roy >From: "David A. If it came in an e-machine, it was probably some OEM product made only for e-machine and Smartlink doesn't support - should be able to get a driver from e-machines web site. Are you sure it came in the machine? Same here - my 2nd port is on my internal network - Run my Radius on the Internal network only. Word of caution: When doing this, you should be aware that your Dial-up users have access to your internal network, so you still have to make sure everything on your network is relatively secure. Because the ARC is a router, it routes between different subnets, particularly between the one for your dial-up users and your internal network. For example: if my internal network is 192.168.1.x, and I have a web site for internal use configured on 192.168.1.10, any dial-up user, regardless of their IP address, can get to 192.168.1.10 just by typing that address into their browser. Configuring dialout from a Netserver Card

Hi there. I have some 3Com Netserver cards (code ver 3.8.1) running from a 3Com Chassis. I want to configure dialout access using a virtual telnet port. I have been able to implement this with the Hiper ARC card successfully. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do it on the Netserver card ? I would even appreciate RTMF resources :-). Older ARC Upgrade problem

I've recently gotten a hold of and older chassis and the console port (after booting) shows the bootloader version, then "Kernel Loading.. OK" then it stops. I tried to download 4.1.59 to it via the console port and it seemed to work (by using the AT{ZF} command after the bootloader prompt) and it formatted the flash, uncompressed some files and rebooted... right back to the "Kernel Loading... OK" prompt. Dip switched 1,2 are on and the rest are off. This originally had 2x 48VDC PSA/PSUs but since I don't have that voltage available at my office I took them out and put in a single 70A 120VAC PS with only the NMC, ARC and 2 DSPs.... could the different PS have anything to do with it? TroubleShooting HiperDSP

I just bought some Hiper DSP Card sets. They are Hardware version 0.54.0 and software code 3.1.7. I have 3 cards do the same thing. I will have about 10 to 15 users online and it will just drop them. I then can open up Total Control Manager and see the DSP is Yellow. I do a restore to service and it works, for a while and will do the same thing. Can someone help me out with this? My experience with placing a call in the iblitzz software: you click "Place a call" and nothing happens. But the next time a call comes in, the "Place Call" window comes up instead of the "Incoming Call". We ordered a whackload of more Intel modems, but now they are the 'new and improved' chipset that does 16 second connections and a crappy MOH - Call Manager software. I mean, a call Manager that doesn't show caller ID and has to stay open on the clients desktop is simply not acceptable. Hiper DSP NIC/NAC E1

Hello: I have a Total Control chasis with a Hiper DSP T1 NAC but working with a E1 line, becouse it has a "daughter card" that gives de 6 extra modems for a E1 line.. it is working fine... Besides the Total Control have 1 Hiper DSP NIC T1/E1, 1 Hiper Router Access Card and the AC PSI 130A card.. It all working very good. Can I add to that Total Control a USR TOTAL CONTROL DUAL PRI NAC/NIC Set E-1 without any problem..? Is it compatible with my equipment..? Do not I need anything else to add to my TC other E1 leased line..? Someone told me that I will need some digital modems for this card to works... What he will referred with digital modems..?
