O, I forgot to mention in my previous post, that the telco who is blaming us for our problematic CT1, said the circuit was showing "high and wet" and that could only mean it was the end user that was at fault. What is high and wet, and does it really mean it has to be the end user? You could rewrite part of the script to make it output HTML directly to STDOUT so that it generates your stats real-time. I'm doing this with some other SNMP scripts I wrote but, depending on the stats, you might be sitting there a while waiting for it to do something. I got Eric Billeter's badmodems.pl script to work checking failure rates, but I'm having 2 issues with it; 1. The output file isn't being named/placed correctly. The line my $outputfile - "e:\inetpub\mrtg\modem-fail.htm"; puts a file named inetpubmrtgmodem-fail.htm directly on the e:\ drive. 2. I would like to either schedule it to run when called by a webpage link or button, or, failing that, schedule it to run every so often. Any ideas for either? Do we use 3com switches or routers? no we use cisco, foundry, etc.. I just don't see the overall purpose/benefit of the merger.. What about "earn customers respect through display of competence"? The only change I've noticed in 3com's tech support over the past year is the fact that someone from 3Com calls me and asks me about how my tech support call was handled. "Do you feel the engineer was competent"? "Did the engineer fix the problem"?, etc... Tonight I called in to 3Com tech support because I have a problem of not remembering if channelized T1 can support ISDN. I had a 'feeling' that it would not but I wanted to get confirmation. I asked the tech said question to which he replied, "yes channelized T1 will support ISDN BRI calls, no problem." To which I said, "are you sure?" He went to "double-check" on this enigma and he came back and said "no, I'm sorry, your customer cannot dial-in to your CT1 circuit." At least he double-checked. If you were to enter 128.253.180.0 / 255.255.255.0 then only those IPs from 128.253.180.1 through 128.253.180.254 would be able to access the NMC. You can still, as you said, enter an particular IP address- 128.253.180.12 / 255.255.255.255 for example. If you mess up putting in the restrictions and can't get in from snmp/TCM anymore, you can reset the list from the NMC Console port with Command | ReinitializeAccessList, or just reboot the NMC if you'd like, since you hadn't saved the config yet. (usr-tc) Default routes disappearing

For the last several days I have been having a problem with my default route just disappearing from my HARC card. This card has been running 4.2.32-1 for several weeks now without too many problems. Several times a day my default route just disappears. I have manually specified a default route on each HARC using set ip default_route gateway 192.168.0.1 This problem is EXTREMELY annoying as it is happening to all of my USR chassis. The only way to recover from it is a complete reboot of the HARC card. If I try to manually add the default route back to the HARC I get the error message that the network is not directly connected. (Which it is...) Has anyone else run into this or do I chalk it up as yet another bug? The chassis is otherwise normal, all the routes are still shown if I do a show ip routes EXCEPT the default route! This is getting extremely frustrating for me, I have at least one serious problem with my USR TC chassis every couple of months and I am really getting tired of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
