Hi Giovanni, I think You have a point here. We all would live the dream of being teleported to a Police concert somewhere between 1979 and 1983 but unfortunately this is not possible. I too think that a reunion is unlikely and probably would be a bad move, at least, marketing-wise. I think I’m not the only one that is looking forward to fork out for the new “complete” box with the same old tiles that I already own in a zillion formats PLUS the 5 or 6 versions of B-sides that were NEVER published before on CD or any other exotic multichannel format. They let us starve a little and then they make a little concession… What I don’t particularly look forward to is a Police reunion in the style of the Pink Floyd one that took place at the Live 8. What I would really like to see would be a totally new side project, with a new band name, that would let the three guys expand their musically matured experiences towards a new territory. But the same old consideration arises: will Sting allow this to be a possibility? This is what I’m personally whishing for. I also personally think that Stewart and Andy would deserve that someway. A&M will release a great The Police box this year, as well as Around The Word dvd (and I knew there would be a cd singles box set but it's not confirmed yet)...all those 'news' about the Police are bringing the name again on every newspaper, radios, magazine and webzines....what a 'free publicity for A&M'....when the dvd will be released everybody will already know about it...everyone will already have The Police name in mind...this is called MARKETING...and we're all working for free for A&M in this case....see how this list 'woke up' in a minute...if this list was a little 'sleeping' lately (and we are all die-hard fans), was the main public thinking about The Police? The answer is NO; there are no books about The Police around, the name of The Police was just about having the usual catalogue titles on the shelves of the record stores, and when Sting tours, newspaper writes that Sting was a member of The Police, that's all. Good to see that we all are still around live and kicking and of course getting excited over all the rumours we can get at the moment about possible reunion! :)) Of course this is difficult to accept that eventually they might stay as rumours only.
