Hello everyone!
Good to see  that we all are still around live and kicking and of course getting excited over all the rumours we can get at the moment about possible reunion! :)) Of course this is difficult to accept that eventually they might stay as rumours only. Temptation is there to believe each little piece of them. From that perspective Giovanni, your email is priceless because despite you being really crazy fan you still manage talking some sense into this all. Thank you for that!
Hugs, Panda
p.s. Off to read many many emails I still have unread in my mailbox. Hopefully when the ticket sales start we'll all have our c/c ready *wishful thinking for both matters*

Subject: [Police] is there still a respect for the word POLICE???

Hey folks....but is there still a respect for such a great band? Do we still have respect for the word THE POLICE?

I mean, it was an obvious joke from Toni....c'mon, do you really believe there will be a tour of 80 dates or more??? Ok, if it will happen, I will be the first to say that Sting probably got 'stung' by an animal with letal drugs to change the mind of a human being...how stupid would be Sting to do something like that?

For what I have understood in years of following The Police, I would never think of a sillier move...another Police tour? Why disintegrating such a wonderful story the band still respect?

One of the best move The Police did was to 'abandon' the group at that time, why should they ruin everything now? I know there will be something special, I even know when the word will be official (but I promised not to spread because there is no need now to spread something unofficial), and I am totally shocked about 'the war of news' floating around.

I do perfectly understand Stingus.net in trying to give the news first, Karel is a good friend and he always gave precise information about Sting before everyone else, even if in this occasion I would be veeeeeery careful as we got a different issue....The Police is a 'slightly' different story...too many parties involved got to find an agreement; Karel at Stingus.net got the right sources but the problem is the project may change from one minute to the other until it will be confirmed; I'm sure he will be one of the first to give the real news when it will be the right time.

At the same time, all the news coming from whoever are just doing the 'label' game....have you ever listened the word 'propaganda'? A&M will release a great The Police box this year, as well as Around The Word dvd (and I knew there would be a cd singles box set but it's not confirmed yet)...all those 'news' about the Police are bringing the name again on every newspaper, radios, magazine and webzines....what a 'free publicity for A&M'....when the dvd will be released everybody will already know about it...everyone will already have The Police name in mind...this is called MARKETING...and we're all working for free for A&M in this case....see how this list 'woke up' in a minute...if this list was a little 'sleeping' lately (and we are all die-hard fans), was the main public thinking about The Police? The answer is NO; there are no books about The Police around, the name of The Police was just about having the usual catalogue titles on the shelves of the record stores, and when Sting tours, newspaper writes that Sting was a member of The Police, that's all.

Said that, I'm glad the name is BIG again; Stewart movie was a great move coming from his heart, and this lead Sting management to open a door, due to the good response of the critics; there is a 'wonderful' excuse this year to have Sting back on stage with Stewart and Andy, and that's the 30th annyversary; I see the whole story as:

- Sting would love to be on stage with The Police, but his career, his name and his ego do not allow him to do something that the critics would name as nostalgia or even worst 'be back with The Police as Sting's career falling down'; Sting is enough intellingent not to leave them say something like this;

- Sting can come back on stage with The Police only if there is a reason (an excuse I would say, and I do perfectly understand it) that can avoid what said before, so that the medias cannot pretend to say it's nostalgia or any other reason;

- Hall Of Fame and 30 Anniversary are the perfect 'excuses'.

This is just my opinion; I sincerely don't know what will happen, if they will tour, if they won't tour, if they will do a special event...I know nothing...I just know when I will know but no more than that.

Thanks for all your messages including my name, I do really appreciate.

Ciao ciao
