A few questions that I'm hoping this list can answer: 1. I remember a few years ago it was reported on this list that Sting, Stewart, and Andy got together to tape an interview/audio commentary that was to be released as part of a box set rerelease or greatest hits rerelease. One music magazine (can't remember which one) even printed a transcript of a portion of the interview. Has this ever been released in any form? 2. I was fortunate enough to attend Sting's Central Park gig at the end of the BND tour. Any news on this getting a CD or DVD release? Has it been bootlegged? 3. Is Erwin Kempen's "Freaks" mailing list for collectors still active? 4. What's the latest info on Sting's upcoming album? Any real news yet? What about the two albums that Andy is recording? Is Stewart recording anything new these days? Is Oysterhead finished or just on hiatus? I was going to see them at a great venue in New Haven but 9/11 cancelled the show! Thanks, Brian T.

The Magazine that had the interview printed was "Revolver", it hasen't yet been released in any other form. I think that it's gonna be part of the reissue CD's (hybrid SACD?) that are released in March. 2. I was fortunate enough to attend Sting's Central Park gig at the end of the BND tour. Any news on this getting a CD or DVD release? Has it been bootlegged? I think it was broadcasted on radio, and there are copies of this broadcast.
[Giovanni] Hi Brian and everybody else from Giovanni in Milan. 1> I remember a few years ago it was reported on this list that Sting, Stewart, and Andy got together to tape an interview/audio commentary that was to be released as part of a box set rerelease or greatest hits rerelease. One music magazine (can't remember which one) even printed a transcript of a portion of the interview. Has this ever been released in any form? [Giovanni] A three cd box set is still on hold at the record company but nothing has come out yet. This could have been the right time, but the whole catalogue re-issue has been considered the perfect release, instead of the 3 cdbox set (2 cd of singles and 1 cd of interview); the inteview was taken in Los Angeles and published on different magazine, the first on REVOLVER. 2. I was fortunate enough to attend Sting's Central Park gig at the end of the BND tour. Any news on this getting a CD or DVD release? Has it been bootlegged? [Giovanni] There is a very good quality video, but it was only braodcasted on the chain stores video monitors that sponsored the event. 3. Is Erwin Kempen's "Freaks" mailing list for collectors still active? [Giovanni] No, for what I know. I used to receive them as well. 4. What's the latest info on Sting's upcoming album? Any real news yet? [Giovanni] In November Sting had already three songs completed, and one of them is another masterpiece! What about the two albums that Andy is recording? [Giovanni] Cong out soon. Is Stewart recording anything new these days? [Giovanni] He is working on the recordings done in Italy back in November; live with Orchestra (tracks from soundtracks and ballets). The record should come out in early Summer. Two more soundtracks have been completed: 'I AM DAVID' and 'DEAD LIKE ME'. Check out the site www.stewartcopeland.it Is Oysterhead finished or just on hiatus? I was going to see them at a great venue in New Haven but 9/11 cancelled the show! [Giovanni] Stewart said he would love to work on some more stuff with Oyesterhead, and it may happens later in the year. Both Les Claypool and Trey Anastasio are very busy, as Stewart! Ciao ciao Giovanni
Hi all...There is a full video of Central Park out and about...This is not the feed from Best Buy, but was shot from a tripoded digital camcorder from dead center about 40 feet from stage...Perfect audio and excellent video!! http://www.geocities.com/jlc403/stingcpsample.mpg is a link to a low resolution sample...this is video cd quality...dvd version is much sharper..hope that helps to answer the question. -Josh -----Original Message----- From: police-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Giovanni Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2003 7:20 PM To: brian.d.thompson@gsk.com; police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: R: [Police] A Few Questions...
