Wooo hooo! Thanks for the info. I hereby deem you and Giovanni President and VP of the "Official Will there be a Police DVD? Fanclub". You'll have to fight over who is Prez. Of course, you could have a contest to see who can spell better to decide. (Maybe that's how she gets away with not being sued since everything has at least one misspelling in it.) In case you were wondering, I deem myself worthy of bestowing that honor on you because I'm the president of the "Oh my Gosh, I didn't check my emails for two days and the list has gone mad" club. I'm back and I'm disappointed in all of the hostility. To think of it - me, the leader of the fan club! Many of you will be punished for your transgressions and I'm afraid that I've collected some of the more brash emails - especially from the europeans - to give to Gordon. He is quite disappointed. Did I mention I am the leader of caretalk? I hope that you are kind to your domestic animals. How would you like it if you were enslaved? troll 1. v.,n. [From the Usenet group alt.folklore.urban] To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase trolling for newbies which in turn comes from mainstream trolling, a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. See also YHBT. 2. n. An individual who chronically trolls in sense 1; regularly posts specious arguments, flames or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion list, or in email for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion.
