Quite frankly, the aurbrey mixes cd appears regularly on UK ebay. i've seen it on sale perhaps as many as ten times over the last three month, so just keep your eyes peeled. listening excursion, pulsating sounds of the orb, dipping into the cyber world seem to be the rarities. Tom

Hello all, I haven't posted to this list in years, so hopefully this kind of posting is still OK. I now live in a very small apartment, and due to my compulsive trade fodder purchasing habbit, I have a very large volume of extra Orb (and KLF and other CDs) which I can't hold on to any more :( I have an extensive pile of trade fodder but very few things I'm looking for, so I'm offering these CDs up for sale for roughly what I paid for them with just a few exceptions. Well, Cauty has come a long way from drawing posters of elves. Finally, after putting it off, picked up this Genitically Modified record by TBD. I also got Unsavoury Products. I'm not a fan of this Sifichi guy talking over the music, but at least on the remix album he gets cut up. At first I thought of the Blacksmoke narrator, but I actually enjoy that guy's deep gaelic voice. So anyhow.. anyone got the new Black Dog Silenced? That and 'bite thee back ep' are kinda being lauded as the "return" of black dog. I myself would have to agree, both these albums have to be heard. OT- digital recording of vinyl

In the past I have plugged my turntable into the analog input of my pc sound card and let the pc do the digital recording. Now that I have a Stanton turntable with a built in converter with digital out, I was wondering how accurate the on-board conversion is versus using the pc. Does anyone have some feedback or advice that has used the ST.100 or similar turntable for recording their vinyl? "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Despair INC. ha ha, well seriously though. Didn't that artist Pole make a living out of doing dub remixes where he just simply ran everything straight through distortion? I think Miles Davis used his 'sweetening' technique to make things sound a lil less perfect too. They'd put a speaker in a stairwell and mic it for extra 'crappiness.'
