We are talking about different mixes. The mixes I'm talking about are by a guy named Jez, and they were done in the early 1990s. They were all about 20 minutes in length, and often labeled "Chill Out Megamix", which they are not. That's still another mix that's completely different. The ones I speak of are best recognized by the sample of Chris Issak's "Wicked Games" towards the end of the track. So anyone have any idea who did these? I take it it was not LX. Not sure, but I think they are 2001-ish, and I don't think they have his "sound" of that time. Some are good, great at times, some are fairly weak. Overall seem kinda unpolished / unfinished, but some great moments in there too. this is on topic ~~ totaly !! ive been off an on this list over a fair few years. sad to hear bill brooks is leaving. me and many others have had cds form him in the past and he has introduced us to sum cool artists also. you can talk to him about anything! and he gives great advice!! its a shame that any new member that will join this list in future will miss out on his input, processing and output. i hope he doesnt become an ex listy -because it'll be a sad loss to the orb list people. Wish i had the dosh to see him perform at his burning man gig. still as always he says he'll have a cd/dvd to send for the people that cant make it.) The wren tit has a curious song. Hold a ping-pong ball about a foot above the table. Let it go, noting the series of hollow plunking sounds the ball makes as it bounces, each successive plunk coming harder on the heels of the last as the ball bounces itself out of energy and back to silence. Trade those plunks for chipper little peeps, and you have the wren tit's signature melody. I hear it when I wake up this morning, and know I've overslept. The wren tit, a skeptical bird, won't bother to sing until the sun is well over the horizon. No false dawns for him. He wants to be sure the sun is comfortably seated in its yellow taxi, on its way through the sky, before he lets out a cheep.
