All anonymous and User passwords will expire on 1/27/02. I will have to be contacted using Icq (101740986) or Yahoo IM (rmstringer2002) For accounts to be setup. So, if there is anything that you guys want, better get it now until Sunday. Sorry that I have to do this. i got mine today also. i recieved 2 packages and much to my surprise both are sighned with different messages. i am super happy. one packages had my 2 bob 8s i ordered and the other had a repleacement bob 6 for the one i got damaged. i wasnt sure if theyd replace it but they did! and i got an extra signed package =)) one says: Vas Okay Dear LX P 2002 with a cool smiley face on the 2 0's and the other says: oi WOT LX TA 2002 haha i have no idea what they mean but im happy to have them. i think bob 8 might be my favorite one so far i love the music. i have played it about 15 times already. who else agrees? i think this is a pretty lame way to react to someone pointing out that you are actually breaking one of the only rules we have here. your way of reacting is to punish everyone who likes your ftp im sure there plenty of them out there. ive only used it a couple times myself and i know ive uploaded stuff to it. i mean as i remember it there was a message from DR Alex Paterson himself stating - its ok to MP3 and share my music that is out of print but please respect my music and do not MP3 songs that are still in print and available. we have talked stringer before and i think youre a really cool guy especially since youre from Texas ;-) but man i think youre takin this the wrong way. why not take a min to think about if it was your music you were working to hard to get out there. as a musician myself i dont have any trouble grasping this concept. so we can all get along by respecting the good DRs wishes to not bootleg his small catalouge of in print items. Several years ago, as a list we decided not to publicly offer "IN PRINT" ORB mp3s out of basic respect for the band. This was agreed upon by the list and to some extent the Orb itself by way of Smiley's connections. I'm sure not every list member was aware of this, so now you all know. It's really not that bad, since a large majority of the ORB catalog is out of print anyway. I think we all can appreciate the fact that you are being generous in letting the list members download the tracks you have collected. However, though you do have the right to put any Mp3s on your site, THIS LIST is not the forum to offer "IN PRINT" ORB material for public use. I'd like to here Smiley's comments when he gets a chance. Like bi11ie said, it was a mistake to share the "personal" mp3 files, perhaps this is the same thing that rmstringer is doing too. It's his computer, he no doubt plays the mp3s from the location that the ftp server sees, so why shouldn't he have the music that he wants to hear there? Of course again, he could go through and make all the "in-print" stuff invisible and/or otherwise block it from the FTP, but if other people can't be arsed to do this, why should he? either way you look at it, I won't be downloading any badorb stuff from his ftp, but I *will* download other stuff. He uploads stuff to my server as well, and I send stuff to him. On the contrary. We can all enjoy getting music to complete our collections. No such agreement was ever made on the KLF list. The "IN PRINT" agreement only had to do with ORB material on the ORB list. So, I doubt you'll get much argument from the KLF list.
