I may be one of the minority hard-core KW fans who likes
The Mix. I think R & F took great care in remaking their
classic tracks. Putting on the headphones and carefully
listening to each sound, I can picture Ralf and Florian
in the studio tweaking the sounds just a little while the
Robots stand in a corner looking on. My only regret with
that release is that they couldn't use their inspiration
to create one (Aw, come on R & F, just one!) new track
ala Expo 2000.
I may be wrong here, but in the Mix's Autobahn where they
the voice comes over the car radio and the tone is
electronically altered throughout that segment ("The fun
on the Autobahn" - sorry, my Deutch isn't good), isn't
that one of the first recorded songs with that effect? A
few years later, Cher had her big comeback song (Do You
Believe in Love) using that effect. Now it seems like
every hip-hop song here in the States uses that effect.
Maybe KW was there first. Any comments?
