From Blacksmone wiki-entry: "In July 2004 Blacksmoke appeared at The Big Chill festival. Cauty played an eclectic and experimental DJ set, which he described as "an updated version of [The KLF's ambient album] Chill Out", while a film by Gimpo called Docklands Light Railway was screened.[5] An alternative version of the soundtrack to the film was later featured as an hour long mix radio session on Resonance FM on 28 August. This was described as an industrial ambient mix." I want them both! -- anttil.
The Big Chill performance was similar to the broadcast mix that appeared on Resonance FM but with quite a lot of additional music being played - e.g. Scourge Of The Earth mixes, Blacksmoke tracks, and some variations on KLF tracks (a superb updated version of "The Church Of The KLF" spliced with another track - can't remember the name?). Alas, I've never seen it appear online anywhere... So, unless anybody bootlegged it at the festival? On 25 November 2013 11:15, Antti Lavio <antti.lavio@possu.org> wrote:

Unfortunately not - the Big Chill performance included a lot more tracks played over that soundtrack... e.g. the version of "The Church Of The KLF" wasn't on there... :( On 25 November 2013 14:03, Thomas Touzimsky <touzimsky@web.de> wrote:

I looked for a few but didn't find anything on the Big Chill performance. Maybe your googlefu will be better. There appears to be a torrent called "Blacksmoke - Post Terrorist Modernism (E.P.) [2003]" available, 20.1MB, but I think that's a year before their Big Chill performance. It doesn't appear to have any seeds left anyway, so I can't verify. The Post Terrorist Modernism EP is still available for download on the DeathToMusic website Deathtomusic <http://www.deathtomusic.com/main.htm> It's right at the bottom of the releases page. You can also download the Bombs Of Enduring Freedom releases which are in a similar vein For those who don't know Blacksmoke were essentially Jimmy and James Fogarty The Bombs Of Enduring Freedom is just James Fogarty. Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is a 45 minute film by Gimpo Jimmy gave the film a soundtrack as part of his collaboration with The Blacksmoke Org. He also performed three live versions: A Nightclub in Bristol (Easy Tiger IIRC) Dragonfly @ The Coronet (Elephant & Castle, London) The Big Chill Festival (Eastnor Castle) To the best of my knowledge none of the live events were recorded from the desks as Jimmy explicitly wanted them to be ³Live-Only² performances. Just found the sadly crumpled poster from the Bristol gig. The event was Giant Robot on Friday 4th June 2004 @ The Cooler on Park Street in Bristol. Top Night! :) From: Tim Richards <pvc@positivevoid.co.uk> Reply-To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Monday, 25 November 2013 19:11 To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: Re: [KLF] 2004 Blacksmoke @ Big Chill Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is a 45 minute film by Gimpo Jimmy gave the film a soundtrack as part of his collaboration with The Blacksmoke Org. DLR is not for sale or resale but may be valued by friends From: Kim Slawson <kimslawson@gmail.com> Reply-To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Monday, 25 November 2013 18:37 To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com>, <tom_dawson@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [KLF] 2004 Blacksmoke @ Big Chill I, for one, would welcome that very much, Tom. <http://s.wisestamp.com/links?url=http%3A%2F%2Fslawson.org%2Fkernelpanic%2F &sn=a2ltc2xhd3NvbkBnbWFpbC5jb20%3D> Kim Slawson Kernel Panic Consulting <http://s.wisestamp.com/links?url=http%3A%2F%2Fslawson.org%2Fkernelpanic&sn= a2ltc2xhd3NvbkBnbWFpbC5jb20%3D> kimslawson@gmail.com <http://s.wisestamp.com/links?url=mailto%3Akimslawson%40gmail.com&sn=a2ltc2x hd3NvbkBnbWFpbC5jb20%3D> 207-593-7401 On Mon, Nov 25, 2013 at 1:08 PM, tom dawson <tom_dawson@hotmail.com> wrote:
Was that the same as the DIY EP? I can post it if anyone is interested.
Also have the Docklands music tracks. A bit monotonous. Didn't know who had done that track.

It doesn't appear to have any seeds left anyway, so I can't verify.

e.g. the version of "The Church Of The KLF" wasn't on there... :(

From Blacksmone wiki-entry:
"In July 2004 Blacksmoke appeared at The Big Chill festival. This was described as an industrial ambient mix."
I want them both!
