...and that the Love Bug theme (and Jimmy's interpretation) sound a little like the Red Hand Gang theme =) The only bit i can remember is at the end all the kids were doing something, ran away from the camera and some little kid in baggy clothes with shorter legs was left trying to catch up...i wonder where he is now? On a totally different tip, any Jesus & Mary Chain fans out there? I've been reading the Da Vinci Code (with a heavy pinch of salt of course, thankfully I know a lot of it is bullshit) for some weeks now and it's piqued my curiosity in many ways...so was trawling through hundreds of books on similar subjects on Amazon when I realised the significance of JAMC's name...interesting as the Reid brothers put the band together in 83-84 but i'm sure the first of so many books of hokum, 'The Holy Blood & the Holy Grail' came some time later Now we need Ray's input, and inevitable x$x cross-references. Off the top of my head, as well as being a much-improved monthly music magazine, 'Q' is the name of a 'novel' by Luther Blissett (which i've not yet read but own) who has some kind of Michael K connection (don't we all?), as well as the name of a missing gnostic 'gospel' according to Mr Daniel Brown and others. Curiouser & curiouser... tbc. John Milne <john@highlandland.fsnet.co.uk> wrote: Yup, Jimmy's tune sounds like a straight remix of the theme to the 1969 movie "The Love Bug" to me. I would also think that Jimmy, with his love of anthromorphic American cars will number on them, may well have had a soft spot for Herbie when he was a kid! Oh, and Simon, a quick shufty round Google should show up a few "Red Hand Gang" facts, and even the theme tune as an mp3 (thanks to TV Cream). My memories of it are hazy (check here for other people's similar recollections: http://www.culttelly.co.uk/rhgmem.html) but I do recall one character (called Peter?) who used to whistle tunes through a hollowed out sweet potato. And, of course, that the show was very popular in Ulster. John

Not sure about Jimmy's contributions to 'Herbie'....are they variations of the original theme? And does anyone remember the Red Hand Gang? =)
