It means, I know they have made a mistake, or have not spelled something correctly, but I'm not going to change it. For example, the title of the "Waiting for the Rights of Mu" CD is mispelled, so people might say "Waiting for the Rights (sic) of Mu" (it should be "Rites"). Also, on that CD's sleeve it states the following of the "Waiting" Jura trip: "It happened in June 1980". Of course, it was actually June 1990. So, again, someone who knows this is wrong would put "(sic)" afterwards, even though this time it's a factual error rather than a spelling error. Hope that clears that up! Certainly PT5 is very very Orb-ish with the freight train effects - in fact it's hardly a song at all; more a journey into sampling and sound effects. You could pretty much say that wouldn't be out of place on an Orb album. Compare that though to PT1, with it's simple bass line and repeating drum track, and you could maybe appreciate why Alex wouldn't feel that was what the Orb were about. PT1=rave, PT5=on your back, toking... Also, we've no guarantee (although I stand to be corrected) that the PT tracks were released in the order they were recorded (certainly sticking PT3 and PT4 into the mix shows a chronological breakdown right away) so it's possible that they (PT2 and PT5, at least) started out as Orb tracks, then PT1 came along and - rather than waste some damn good tunes, they were put out under the then fledgling banner of 'The KLF'. Well, finally got James' little book. I just wondered, does anyone know what the significance of all the addresses? I spot the address of the Benio, 55 Jeffreys Road, a couple of times, and also St. Saviours Road, where I think Jimmy moved to immediately after selling the original Trancentral. And the address on Jura is pretty self-explanatory too. But what about the address in Heswall, Wirral - is that where he grew up? Are all these addresses where people used to send him stamps, to feed his philately? Also, most importantly, does his middle name begin with "F"? I wonder what it is? ;-) John

This method won't work on single 500mb archive as QuickPar will make a 500mb recovery set. So it makes more sense to break down the archive to smaller files. My usual method of archiving is to store the files as a multiple WinRar archive (uncompressed), the use QuickPar to make recovery files. If one of the archive files become unreadable for some reason, QuickPar will be able to recreate the file and all is good. -paul
