Right, better suggestions welcome, but since there've been no others.... There's a pub called the King's Head which is a stone's throw away from the entrance to the Barbican Centre. It's on the corner of Chiswell St and Silk St, see the red marker on this image: http://cow.uk.eu.org/~cow/tmp/map.jpeg I think the event will be in the blue building below the red marker. The entrance is where the [P] parking symbol is, on Silk St. The tunnel between Barbican tube station and the pub is Beech Street, the greyed out road. There's another pub that I know just round the corner, by Moorgate tube station, called the Bishop of Norwich, that's ok. There are also quite a few pubs around Farringdon/Barbican stations (fuelling the crowds before they descend on Fabric and Turnmills) Mail me for any further directions, Jon -- This space left intentionally blank.

KLF Ftp list

I did not hear any mention of another KLF FTPs on this list. I know of a few other FTP sites on other lists that KLF material, but are only accessible via the other lists. I will not give their Ip addresses out to this list. A KLF FTP Server list is a little drastic Don't you think? I can shut my server down to the list as a blanket password. If that will solve the problem? Sorry for the posts. I will not post again about material I have placed on my sever. Sorry that a few people have to ruin it for everyone. Personal accounts will be the only way to access the material. They will be limited to only 10 more accounts. SO in that case, someone else can set up server from the material they get from me to mirror my ftp. I thought that I was very gracious to host material for over a 15-month span. I guess trying to share music other than KLF material with KLF aficionados was a problem. No more stuff about it. The blanket KLF pass will expire this weekend. SO Get what material you can. The original post wasn't a question of whether or not the FTP is useful. It undoubtedly is, but that's not really the point. The question was whether, since there are so many posts on this list about the FTP, it might be time to set up a seperate list, which all the people who use the FTP can join and on which they can discuss the FTP site to their heart's content, while people with no interest in the FTP don't keep getting e-mails about it. Personally I think it's a good idea, and suggesting a seperate list for the FTP is no disrespect to the FTP site or RM or anybody... I put Conjure One From Rhys Fulber of Frontline Assembly (Delerium) on my FTP. I will make it a blanket Pass for the album if I get a response from anyone. IT is along the lines of Delerium (Big Wonder), but all in all, it is good. What I have heard of it. Hey! Just realised! I've got the day off on that day (25th), so I can do a guided tour of the record shops of London, to hunt for cheap and/or rare items. As has already been said in another post, http://www.klf.de has a summary and points to http://www.barbican.org.uk/generic/details.asp?eventID=1280&artFormID=2&art… which has more information. In my opinion (just guesswork based on how the event has been advertised) Bill and Jimmy are unlikely to be on stage at the same time, let alone any KLF-style music and prankery. If they were in wheelchairs the last time there was a Barbican event, what would they be in this time around? Motorised coffins? Don't get your hopes up, is what I say. The most interesting bit, I think, is hearing what music Jimmy Cauty comes up with- while for the past few years all that's surfaced publicly is remixes, surely he's been producing some music of his own as well, and that might be even darker and nastier... As for Fame Academy outtakes, there haven't been many, certainly not compared to Big Brother. Sadly all the students are pretty capable dancers, as I was looking forward to watching people trip over their own feet, to reassure me that I'm not the worst dancer in the world.
