I was just in the middle of writing a post on this very subject when this arrived! I think the evening plan is to turn up at the King's Head. (See Jonathan Wakely's previous post about that, and also the map he put at http://cow.uk.eu.org/~cow/tmp/map.jpeg - the Kings' Head is under the red target and the Barbican is the blue building just below it). I guess people will be turning up from about six-ish, give or take. However I'll also be meeting up with some other listmembers at 11am the same day, to do some record-hunting. The plan is to meet at Liverpool Street Station, but as that's subject to change, if you're thinking of tagging along at any point during the day, e-mail me within the next 24 hours and I'll e-mail you back with my phone number (for some reason posting it to the list doesn't feel right... probably too scared of getting abusive phone calls from people who think I'm ungrateful that FTP servers were ever invented...) ahh, yes, stuart strikes again with another succinct overview of the cut and thrust of heated debate. As ever a good summary of this mornings events. Im sure those who havnt taken the piss and ripped the shit out of him lately,if you ask him im sure he will share the music with you. But by 'FTP list', didn't the original poster mean a discussion list (like this one), but exclusively for announcements and discussion of your FTP site (nobody else's), so that this discussion list could be freed from having so many regular posts about your FTP site? I think you've completely and understandably misunderstood what is meant by "FTP list", hence this confusion. I agree with your sentiments, as long as there is an FTP ref in the subject (as proposed) then i think that make it easier to filter. As a long standing collector of KLF releases some of which took a long time to find it is slightly irksome to be able to get them at the drop of a hat. however i have also benefitted from RM's server by getting hold of Bill's LP and the web has been great for getting hold of rarities i've never even seen in any record fair or shop (White Room OST).
