Did anyone ever hear the Anne Pigalle song "If Desire Is A Sin" that was listed on a couple of radio playlists a year or so ago? As I remember it was a white label and also appeared on some compilation album. I never heard it but I remember it was mentioned at the time on this list. It still shows up on the google search engine. In a message dated 3/23/02 1:18:36 PM, stjamesdawson@hotmail.com writes: << >From: "Juan Lopez" <ztthead@hotmail.com>
On the hifi at the moment: Gainsbourg - Classé X. Is it true Anne Pigalle was his illegitimate daughter or was that a lie put around at the time by ZTT?
I never had heard that claim (which I assume was tongue-in-cheek from ZTT). I dearly would love to find more music by Anne Pigalle; I loved her album and the singles released from it, and cannot believe that she never released any more music. What a loss! Every now and then, I search the Web for info about Ms. Pigalle and find nothing new. The only tidbit that turned up once was that she (allegedly) appears in one installment of the "Red Shoe Diaries" TV series that ran on cable, presumably in a background role. Can anyone confirm this? With all the indie CD labels around these days releasing incredibly obscure stuff by artists who are not exactly mega-sellers, it seems as if somebody should be releasing SOMETHING by Anne Pigalle (new stuff, vaults stuff, demos, whatever). Ah, well... --James Dawson stjamesdawson@hotmail.com >>
