call me the odd one out, but i loved the sound and music but thought 80% of the visuals on this were terrible. wobbly camcorder stuff from the US gigs and shepherd's bush - which make up almost all of the film - should have been filed away under 'extras'. it looks even worse when they briefly cut in the Fountain Studios concert film (which looks awesome) and Lol's videola material (awesome too, and one of the original, abadoned themes for the album) and his Euphoria Bliss animations (same again)... i was disappointed... there. been wanting to get that off my chst for ages! -- Ian Peel http://www.ianpeel.com -----Original Message----- From: darrel_beaven@gb.schindler.com [mailto:darrel_beaven@gb.schindler.com] Sent: 30 August 2002 16:02 To: ztt@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [ZTT] Re: Art Of Noise DVD I've had the DVD for a few weeks now... it is brilliant, I could relive the Wembley concert by inviting a few friends around and occasionally getting someone with a camcorder to walk in front of the tele ! and laying some chunky cables on the floor. they even included the retakes at the end of the gig, where Trevor wanted to re-do some bits.. the footage is very cleverly mixed from various gigs, but the sound is taken from the very exclusive Wembley gig. It's a tragedy etc... you get the option of stereo or 5.1 (if only i had 5.1 on my dvd player, damn my cheapness! ) at the start of the disc. the rehearsal footage shows you Trevor being Trevor, you can also select each song individually er it has interactive menus, big selling point of every DVD, plus it has the sound of seduction as it should be, live and loud. I was hoping for some of the ztt videos as I've never seen the whole of any of them, but maybe their saving them for another DVD. If you haven't ordered the DVD already and you like a good Paul Morley rant, hell why else would you collect zttt? go and order it now ! ztt-request@mailman.xm ission.com To: ztt@mailman.xmission.com Sent by: cc: ztt-admin@mailman.xmis Subject: ZTT digest, Vol 1 #63 - 1 msg sion.com 30/08/2002 13:33 Please respond to ztt Send ZTT mailing list submissions to ztt@mailman.xmission.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ztt or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to ztt-request@mailman.xmission.com You can reach the person managing the list at ztt-admin@mailman.xmission.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of ZTT digest..."
