<<speaking of which: any drummers out there who have ideas about creatively (... what¹s wrong with elitism?) using one? in not-necessarily-metal (how¹s that for a label) settings?>> yeah, that is a loaded term ... "creatively" vs. in a metal context. tee hee hee. but weasel walter of the flying luttenbachers uses an odd-sized set with a double bass drum pedal (and possibly no snare, i don't remember) in a freee jazz setting on their LP 'trauma.' zach hill of hella sounds like he uses a double bass drum, but it's just an inhumanly fast right foot. i have a friend who played drums in a free/fake jazz/noise band out here and used double bass drums in a lineup with another drummer and two saxophonists. i'm trying to think of more examples... there have to be some. wy

The only thing I seem to ever post is the name Terry Bozzio... Check out his pedal set-up either at terrybozzio.com or dwdrums.com... quite something! And his creative use of it all - well, well... (though I'm not too sure about his Chamber Works CD...) patRice np: JZ, Trembling Before G*D nr: Fireworks MX Bible ________________________________________________________________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends?
