Hello again everyone. I have recently re-subscribed to the great list-o-zorn. I had to unregister awhile back due to pc issues, but let us put that unplesantness behind us shall we. So what made me reup now is this. I am going (comeing for those allready there) to NYC for new years! I will be in from the 28th untill the 4th. & just yesterday purchased my tickets for Tonic on the 31st. Needless to say, I am marginaly pleased to be able to atend this event. I was wondering a few things. First, what to expect from the Ribot & Masada set. I have never gotten the chance to see Zorn, living in the mid west is a curse for enthusiests' of such as we. I only have tickets for the first set. Was this a bad idea? Long story, but the group decision was made to not see Honda's group, though it looks like I will miss the second Masada set. :( Secondly & more importantly, I have the typical New York tourist questions, though not to typical i hope. What record stores should I go to? Are there any other musical events I should be aware of? & whats a avant-contry boy to do in the big city on new years?
