Hi Sean, Thursday, July 15, 2004, 11:35:38 AM, you wrote: SW> ugh. there have been lots of complaints, but thanks for being SW> patient up front, Efren (and anyone else). here is the official SW> company line, for anyone interested: <the official response skipped> Do you know that this official response almost immediately disappeared from the AMG web site? Do you know why? The answer seems to me pretty childish. It is fairly easy these days to develop cross platform web sites. There are more and more people using non-IE browsers, so targeting just 87% of the audience which will decrease even more is a strange policy. Releasing the version of the web site without proper beta testing is even more strange practice. The new trend is to simplify the content, not to make it heavy and slow loading, and definitely not overloaded with scripts and extra unnecessary pages. I'm not even talking about the sound samples which is a great idea per se, but not great at all if it only works with the bloated Windows Media Player and nothing else (even the other players which can play WMA files don't work with the AMG). All right, anyway, lets see if the AMG will listen to the comments and try to do something with the service which used to be good. -- All the best, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/
