GG's music is the most ineptly played punk rock I've ever heard. VERY filthy, both musically and lyrically. But, it was played with tons of conviction, and that's what keeps me coming back to good ol' defunct GG. You definitely need to pick up his "Freaks, Faggots, Drunks and Junkies" album from 1988 (I think), as well as the "Hated" documentary DVD.
