hey, william - hope to meet you in may. not an expert in getting around canada, but i've been to the fest and can offer a little help.
1) What's the best way to get to Victoriaville if we've made it to Montreal by rail?
think it's a pain in the ass. think you need to drive, altho you might be able to muster a car pool.
2) What hotel do you recommend? Is there one particular hotel that's traditionally been The Place To Be?
there's only one hotel to go to, and that's the calibri. info is on the fimav web site, and that's where most of the audience and musicians stay. that's how to luck into the occasional room party and hungover breakfast as well.
4) Any early news about events going on in DC, Philly, NYC or Montreal in the days leading up to or after Victo?
the vision fest will probably be right after victo in nyc, usually the week leading up to memorial day weekend. _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/featuredemail

It's not that bad. If you don't want to rent a car, you can take the Metro (subway) from the train station to the bus station, and then take a bus directly to Victoriaville. It takes a bit of time, but you'll get there. --Mike
