out of print (a few more)
Hello, ...I'd also really like to see some reissues of "An Evening with Wild Man Fischer", the John Cale/Terry Riley "Church of Anthrax", The John Cage/Sun Ra collab on Folkways, and the whole line of blues collections that Arhoolie did with Blues Classics. I remain.... Joseph NP: V/A- "Troubleman Mixtape" 2CD Burmese "Pleasures of Greed and Pain" NR: William gaddis- "JR"

Oh, do tell!
Hello, ....I thought this was on Folkways, but oops, it's on a label called Meltdown. Recorded live 6/8/86 on the Coney Island boardwalk, at the "last surviving freakshow, Sideshows by the Sea". Ra plays Yamaha DX-7, Cage does voice. I've never heard it. Some say it's great, some say it's not. Have any listers heard this? Hell, did any listers SEE this? I Remain.... I bought a copy at an Arkestra show about 15 years ago, and was pretty disapointed with it. Ended up donating it to the college radio station that I was music director at at the time. Haven't hear it since, I imagine it's still in their archives, unplayed.
Ran Blake - Film Noir (Arista) I have this one of vinyl, but I don't get to pull out my LPs too often... Alan Lankin -- Jazzmatazz http://jazzmatazz.home.att.net lankina@att.net

The John Cage/Sun Ra collab on Folkways Oh, do tell! For what it's worth, if anybody is really keen to hear this one without actually owning the LP, there's a copy as a pair of MP3 files at http://www.ubu.com/sound/cage.html As a general resource, ubu.com is pretty damned impressive.

No kidding -- I think I downloaded Yoko Ono's "Cough Piece" from there, as well as the entire Kathy McGinty CD (though I think that's completely disappeared). You can also download .pdf files from ubu/ editions (or was it /ubu editions?) -- the highlight of which were two long Ron Silliman e-books. Later, Ben http://www.thewilyfilipino.com
