CALEDONIA LOUNGE, January 29th: No More Revivals: Jeremiah Cymerman brings some tunes down from NYC for Jeff Rieter, Brian head and myself to play. A once in a lifetime type gig. Ceramic Duck: One of the best of the newer Athens bands. Distressed song structures and hooks aplenty. The bastard child of Napalm Death and Devo. Garbage Island: The Island is back and smellier than ever. Featuring the bass talents of special guest Steve Scarborough from Maserati and the trombone talents of Trombonicus Maximus. ULTRAODD COMPOUND, February 1st: "Stupor-Bowl Party" Alpha Jerk: The twisted brainchild of Scifules Mark Kaczmarek and Chris Herron. World music as imagined by acid-damaged missionaries. I will be assisting in the carnage. Other Athens psychopaths may join us... Treble with a capital "T". We will be playing around 7PM. Ceramic Duck: These guys are always following us around! Brown Frown: Songs about dead whores and other morally uplifting topics. Charles Bukowski and MC 5 had a baby... The Spinns: Don't know much about these guys, except they are from North Carolina. Madeline: Athens' favorite chanteuse since, well, ... last year! There may be others playing this event that I don't know about.
