Those who play with Coleman must stay on their toes because the music moves in so many directions. That's why Cohen, who has played with Bill Frisell, John Zorn and Dave Douglas, jumped at the chance to work with him. "Just when you've climbed one flight of stairs, there's another one to climb," he said. "You don't get stagnant as a musician."
