I need an act to play on Friday, Nov 22 (and any/every Friday after January!), at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Memorial Union, in der Rathskellar, 4-6pm. It is part of the weekly "Behind the Beat" jazz series, which is a free event. This is a well-known and well- frequented historical venue, a great opportunity for fledgling bands. If you or someone you know would like to do this, please let me know. We have a broad definition of jazz, so don't be afraid. The only requirements are that you can perform for two hours, and that you fit within our budget. If you are interested, email me with the name of your act, a description (or even better, a sound sample), credentials, and a requested artist fee.
