Just an idea, I'm sure some of us have done. I recommend recording just the soundtrack of Bookshelf.. to tape and listening to it without the video, a visa versa. It has brought out some interesting points. Little sound things I miss on my TV. And the perceived contexts of certain comments. Does anyone have any other movies that they have enjoyed this way? (besides cartoons, for the music) nick

It was sort of weird to go looking through the glove compartment and find "TRUE ROMANCE, TAPE 2", "SPARTACUS, TAPE 1", and the like. A lot of people do that with commentary tracks from laserdiscs, but I suppose it's not really the same.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but does anyone have suggestions for recording a soundtrack off a DVD or video tape? I suppose you could record to a cassette like you would record a cd or LP to cassette, but what about inputting to a computer so as to make a cd? Any best practices, things to watch out for? (I bought an iMic USB audio adaptor--supposedly you can plug any audio component into that, but haven't used it yet). Thanks, kelley On Jul 27, 2004, at 7:10 AM, Taylor McLaren wrote:

Using a Mac? Wiretap will "allow you to record any audio playing on your Mac, saving it to a file for later listening or processing. This allows you to record news from Internet radio stations such as the BBC News, sound snippets from your favorite DVD movie, record the audio from a game, or even iChatAV conversations." And it's free. <http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/freebies/> on 7/27/04 12:18, Kelley Kirkpatrick at kelkirkpatrick@cox.net wrote:
