RE: Favorite Zorn/Ribot collabo
favorite ribot/zorn: Hoppy Kamjiyama -- Welcome to Forbidden Paradise The last track is this 16-minute jam session that was the first I ever knew of Zorn and Ribot collaborating. It whupped my ass in an ultra-modern but 70s Miles Davis kind of way. I think it was Doug Bowne on drums, but may have been Cain. And Sebastian Steinberg on bass. Tasty shit. Sort of Optical 8 but with Zorn. But Book of Heads is incredible, too.

let's start a poll, shall we?
i'm interessted to see which one of Zorn's collaborations with Ribot everyone appreciates the most.
"The Gift." It finds Zorn perfectly slipping on the Les Baxter slippers, and Ribot slinking into that dirty, lazy "abraxas" mode.
