Wow! that was a bit over the top, IMHO. It always sounds funny to me when people get that radical and accuse the US of being imperialistic and blah, blah, blah. Well, McDonald's is there, as are Italian restaurants, Spanish restaurants and so forth. Then you have your own criteria which should be enough for you to choose. I'm really happy with my Mediterranean food here in Barcelona. But I can also enjoy French or Italian food and going to the big M as I did today. It's a matter of choice. People get what they want or deserve. If people didn't ask for McDonald's the "empire" would already have gone to rack and ruin. And it keeps on growing. That's the only obvious thing for me. I wonder why so many people hate americans! Why don't you stay home and eat your hamburgers instead of littering the planet with your crap because you can't face to eat foreign food? And what about obesity? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
