There are sound samples up at www.mysticnade.net The neti-neti band is not the Sun City Girls. I do not know if I am at liberty to say who is the Neti-Neti band... The cd is amzing! Also, look for Eyvind Kang tourdates coming soon. Thanks, John Schuller
Since I actually happened to be listening to the disc as I read you message, I'll provide a few thoughts. I think the disc is fantastic, yes fairly minimalist and quiet but also deep and beautiful. It has four tracks, all fairly long, the tune 'Binah' is clearly the "centerpiece" of the album at 27min. The backing band is listed as the 'Neti-Neti' band, and could be overdubbed Kang, or (as DMG speculates) the 'Sun City Girls' There is a decent amount of guitar, especially in the previously mention 'Binah' and in the title track. I'd say it's the most like 'Story of Iceland' with repetitive themes and atmospherics, but more introspective, (but there is nothing like the playfulness of '10:10', it all stays in character) Lot's of interesting new sounds in this one: static, subtle electronics, and of course some sweet violin (or viola).
So highly recommended, -Robert

Hi!
Any comments on the new Eyvind Kang CD "Live Low To The Earth In The Iron Age"??
I heard it was more minimalist than his previous CDs, which I imagine might suit his playing....
Cheers,
