Lee Ranaldo/William Hooker/Alan Licht/Ulrich Krieger/DJ Olive “Text of Light” — Ranaldo, I think, is the best (only) avant improviser in SY. All of this was good, though longer than necessary. The Stan Brakhage films were interesting enough, but if that’s what dictated the nearly 90-minute length, they should have been cut. Krieger, however, was great. Who is that guy?
