thanks to everyone for their help with the festival in holland. hopefully ill make it! these have been in my cd player all week: john cale "paris 1919" acid mothers temple "st captain freak out and the magic bamboo request" ray russell "rites and rituals" transmission six organs of admittance (reissue of first lp and lathe cut) campire songs - this is probably my favorite cd of this year. this is the guys in avey tare and panda bear who are great live. anyway they call themselves animal collective these days. this cd is just called campfire songs. its just them playing string instruments on a porch while it rains. its beautiful. getatchew mekurya - this is vol 14 of the ethipiques series. this guy is a fantastic sax player from ethiopia and his back up band is pretty hot too.
