Hello.
I would've sworn that O'Rourke was already a full-time SY member by the time they recorded "NYC Ghosts & Flowers". Maybe he joined them definitely for the tour, i'm not sure.
Not really, he was more like a very, very welcome special guest. If you read interviews from around that time, he said several times that he expected to leave the band within a few months. If you read interviews from that time, you will also see than none of the other band members expected that he would.
I
really enjoyed ghosts and flowers, but that's just me.
No, no, it's not just you!
I agree, by faaaar their best album ever.
It's probably one of the most evolutive bands in the "rock" scene, IMHO.
What about The Ex or Boredoms?? Two of my other absolute favorie bands. In many ways, I concider them pretty similiar to Sonic Youth,
And O'Rourke's "Ghosts & Fl." production was just impeccable.
Yes, excellent!! Cheers. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
