Apologies for cross posting, but I've been away from email for a few days and this question came up on both lists. I've been very happy using Wave Repair, a shareware editor for Microsoft platforms, for cleaning up vinyl recordings. Like many others who've responded, I use CoolEdit for noise reduction, normalization and recording, but have found Wave Repair very good for detecting and sometimes even removing clicks and pops (although never to the point where I don't check each one). I paid the shareware fee a few years ago and have gotten regular updates ever since. I wish I could find something like this for OS X. http://www.waverepair.com. --- Caleb Deupree ctdeupree@sbcglobal.net
